Today's TV and my hatred for it

I see that the first season of the Smurf’’s comming out on DVD. Man those were the times. Waking up somewhat early on a saturday morning grabbing a bowl or two of what ever sugar-packed cereal we had. And sitting down in front of the boob tube till early afternoon. The early shows were just a precursor to what was to follow. The Great space race, Romper room, and Fragel Rock. Then it was the Pound puppies, carebears, the Littles, Heman, Spiderman and friends, and i could never forget or shake it’s memories from my everyday life…The Bugs Bunny and Friends Hour! Oh he had more friends than spiderman and an hour to dedicate to them. Elmer, Ralph and Sam, Foglorn, Sylvester and Tweety, Wile E., Peppe LePue, oh the list goes on and on and…..anyway. And sometimes if lucky enough a special movie comes on about a magician or a time machine kind of like the after school specials, but on saturday after the toons. And what happened to all the cool game shows that was on during the week. Yes i relize that they all moved to the game show network. Just not the same.

While i’m on my soap box. STOP with the judge shows! Good golly Miss Polly want a cracker ENOUGH. I think everyone has sued their quota, so no more frivilous lawsuits and disputes. Put’em in a cage match and let’em go at each other. Much more entertaining. And for those judges ruling in favor of the criminal’s (oh you know who you are) Cage match with a BEAR!

So in conclusion, bring back my old shows, game and sitcom on regular TV. Cause i’m cheap and don’t want to pay for 200 stations that i have about as much use for as a blind man does for libary card.
